Description
A javelin throw stick, commonly referred to simply as a javelin, is a long, slender, pointed object used in the sport of javelin throw. Made of materials such as aluminum or fiberglass, the javelin is designed to be thrown for distance. It typically measures between 2.5 to 2.7 meters in length for men and 2.2 to 2.3 meters for women. Athletes grip the javelin at one end and throw it with a specific technique to achieve maximum distance. The throw is executed from a marked area called the “throwing sector.”
